Team: Erik Dubbelboer Valentijn Geirnaert Game: A size-scrolling platform game with a few RPG influences. It is set in a medieval fantasy setting. Bink is the main character. After Bink finds out the dreams he's been having are actually visions of a horrible future, he is determined to prevent that future from coming true. Aided by a mystical mentor he sets out on an adventure that will take him through time, to save the future. There will be multiple levels, ranging from outdoor environments in swamps and mountains to cities and castles. Using various weapons and a few skills, Bink will have to fight through many opponents to reach boss and stop the future from happening. An interesting feature will be time warping. This is done through portals, strategically places throughout the levels. Bink may want to use these to go back in time, plant a seed, return to his original time and use the tree that has grown out of the seed to climb to a platform he previously couldnt reach. Similary, other puzzles can be constructed. Obviously this will require that each level has a past and present version. His mentor will give him quests and help where needed, but will not always be present. Features: Several abilities. These are learned through quests. All these abilities will have cooldowns or cost so they cannot be used continuously. - Stealth: Invisibility for 6-10 seconds - Fury: Increase attackspeed by 50% for 6-10 seconds Bink also has the following stats, which can be manually increased as the player progresses through the game. - Health: Increases your total amount of hitpoints - Strength: Increases your damage per hit - Agility: Increases your attack speed Bink can use multiple weapons throughout the game. He starts with a Bow & Arrows, and a sword. Later in the game he can earn a Boomerang, special arrows for his bow and a mystical sword. Enemies can drop Health pickups, which allow Bink to regain his health if he is hurt. There will be a lot of opponents in the game. These will include forest and swamp creatures, walking and flying creatures, creatures that are invisible until you are close, creatures that shoot at you and creatures that will try to melee you. There will also be several sub-bosses and one endboss. Each of these bosses will require a specific tactic to defeat him. For example one will throw bombs at you, and you will have to bounce these back to him to hurt him. Another might use teleportation, or minions to fight you. There will be mainly two types of puzzles. The jumping puzzles dealing with how to get from A to B, and puzzles involving the time portals, where you have to go back in time to talk to someone who is dead in the present, or start something that will affect your present (like planting a tree).
